Training Routes from Coginchaug
The maps below are for training routes that begin and end at Coginchaug and Strong school.
8 Mile route. Moderate hills.
An 8 mile practice route that includes some short, steep climbs. As your fitness improves and you gain more confidence with your climbing, ride it more than once. You'll never be that far from the school.
15 mile Lake Lollipop
This route has about the same elevation gain as the 8 mile hill route, but the climbing is spread out over twice the distance and is much more gradual. It has long, flat stretches good for developing a smooth spin. Nice views of Lake Quonnipaug are a bonus!
